Socially Useful Productive Work 

To enable children to be routed to societal issues and to instill social responsibilities the following activities are undertaken by students at the school and college. The details will be updated as the event concludes, and the photos will be available on the link mentioned in front of the description of each event. 

  1. Swachh Vidyalaya Swachh Bharat-Campus Cleaning
  2. Resources for Classroom Use and School Use – Smart Class and crafts for teaching aids and notice board updating by students.
  3. Anti Bullying or Anti Ragging Committee and awareness raising. 
  4. Educational Trip to IISc. Bangalore/ISRO/BRDO/CPRI/JNCRF/AIR Sir. C.V Raman Research Institute/Visit to Civil Court Complex. 
  5. The Dignity of Labour – Cleaning and Gardening with our Gardners.
  6. ‘Buddies’ or ‘Peer Mentors’ for Adolescence Education, School Health Program, Life Skills Program, etc. – Special Assembly with activities involving prefects. 
  7. Participating or volunteering in Youth Parliament or mock UN Sessions – MUN training and participation.
  8. School water use audits – Water auditing by experts. 
  9. Setting up rainwater harvesting structures – School rain harvesting pits.  
  10. Project on indigenous methods of water conservation – STP or Rainwater pits.  
  11. Organizing sports meet for CWSN (Children with Special Needs)-Inter School activity (Sports for specially-abled children) (CBSE Activity).  
  12. Adopting an old age home for interactive activities – Visit old age home – Harihar  
  13. As a volunteer for charities ‘outside of school’ such as orphanages, old-age homes – Old age home – Harihar  
  14. Empathy – Visit Veeresh Wara Ashrama, Bada Cross (CBSE Activity).  
  15. Care for Homeless Children – Visit Orphanage – (S S Layout/ Boosnur School).  
  16. Adopting an orphanage for conducting joyful activities – Visiting an orphanage, conducting dance events. 
  17. Being Safe and Responsible: First Aid/ Health Club; Disaster Prevention and Mitigation – First Aid and Fire Safety Training (Bapuji Hospital/Fire Station).  
  18. First Aid: Awareness raising and demonstration – Our students perform first aid during “First aid demonstration). 
  19. Reduce, Recycle, Reuse (most important 4R’s), and Now Respect – Special Assembly with a small exhibition. 
  20. Holding an Art Exhibition for fundraising- All paintings will be auctioned at the assembly hall. 
  21. Educational Trip to Hampi.  
  22. Studying the nutrition and health status of people in a peer group/ village/city slum/ tribal area/ neighborhood – a project report by a group of students – (Photo Mandatory). 
  23. Preparation of Family Budget and Maintenance of Daily Household Accounts – Activity or Assignment. 
  24. Planning, organizing, and delivering a League tournament (Basketball, Cricket, Football).  
  25. Volunteer work with stray animals and organizations connected with the same cause – Visit the nearby veterinary hospital – Evening ‘A’ Section Students. 
  26. Organized Inter-class/ Inter-school sporting activities (basketball, volleyball, swimming, hockey, netball, squash, cricket, and boxing). 
  27. Inviting professionals from the industry to develop career pathways (App on mobile) – Invite experts for career counseling.  
  28. Helping school authorities in organizing (a) picnics, tours, excursions, and functions and (b) exhibitions. – Capture events like Sambhram and Exhibition.  
  29. Organizing a fund-raising Musical Extravaganza for school – Sambhram – Guest Singer (Sponsorship). 
  30. Interview Session with the Chief Guest.  
  31. We are participating in the community health program through the door-to-door contact program – Awareness about dengue using placards.  
  32. Plantation of Shade/ Fuel/ Ornamental/ Avenue trees – Planting flowering plants in the garden. 
  33. Life Skills Activities (Creative and Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving and Decision Making, Effective Communication, Self-Awareness, and Empathy) – Essay Writing, Puzzle Solving, pick and Speak, self-introduction during assemblies, etc.  
  34. As a volunteer for ‘in-school activities such as organizing a school-based event based on Life Skills. – Activities on public speaking/nutrition/toiletry practices etc. (Special Assembly). 
  35. Projects on social awareness or cross-curricular themes initiated, planned, and implemented by students with the teacher as initiator. – Drama or skit or mime or flash mob on any social issues.  
  36. Acquaintance with common fertilizers and pesticides and their application with appropriate equipment – a workshop at TKVK-placard or banner.  
  37. Acquaintance with Common Pests and Diseases of Plants and Use of Simple Chemicals and Plant Protection Equipment-a workshop at TKVK-placard.  
  38. Awareness campaign for saving one liter of water a day by each student at the school, its daily monitoring and reporting – Activity – compile statistics on water usage and propose ways to reduce consumption.  
  39. Home water use audits – Activity – audit report at home by experts to be submitted. 
  40. Organizing and volunteering for various ‘in-school activities’ and Language Club, Theatre and Dramatics Club, Social Science Club, Dance Club, Science Club, and Science – club activities.
  41. Fairs, Heritage Club, Nature Clubs. – Eco club activities.
  42. Expression series – Rangamancha club Activity – Take pics of expressions.
  43. Collaborating as part of the Photography Club and creating Exhibitions across the city with a social message. – Exhibition of Photographies of some social event or any other social initiatives at Bapuji School.
  44. Project on metering use of water-saving devices/taps and ensuring no leakages in plumbing, pipes, etc. – Build a model of artificial lakes to preserve rainwater.
  45. Project on awareness and planting drought-prone/ native plants/trees – Activity with submission of reports.
  46. Project on Recycling of water – example from RO plants, etc. – set up in the flower garden – – one row as a model.
  47. Setting up Drip irrigation structures for school gardens, etc.- Arecanut Tree plantation with irrigation.
  48. Visit to Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole.
  49. Participation in Adult-Literacy Programs – Invite people from Tholahunse and Teach.
  50. Taking up water conservation activities in nearby communities – Visiting nearest farmers to explain the planting of trees around the bunds to conserve water.
  51. Learning to test the quality of water and taking up water quality projects in the nearby communities – RO water testing and explaining the report to the students.
  52. Visiting municipal water treatment and supply plants and monitoring water quality at school/home – Visit DVG water treatment plant.
  53. Enrichment Activities of different Ministries can be taken up in project mode (Swachhta Abhiyan, Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (up to Oct 2018), Paryatan Parv, etc.) Beti Padhao Beti Bachao – Silent march with placards.
  54. Understanding about groundwater table – Special assembly (CBSE Activity)  
  55. Projects on understanding water pollution – Activities with models in Special Assembly.
  56. Collecting and distributing used and unused books and clothes to the underprivileged – End of the year activity.
  57. Planning and holding a friendly cricket match between alumni and the current grades IX and X – While the alumni meet.
  58. Fit India School Week – As per Govt. dates.
  59. Observing Vigilance Awareness Week – Last Week of Dec 2020.
